Donate to the COVID-19 Response Fund

In these uncertain times, ACLD continues to carry out its mission, operating its Residential Program for 400 adults with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities across Long Island.

On April 3rd, ACLD opened it’s Bethpage Respite Center to monitor the progress of residents diagnosed with COVID-19. The residents placed there are those who have symptoms and don’t require hospitalization. It is just one of the many things ACLD has done to respond to this continuously evolving crisis.

We have seen so many uplifting moments during this crisis: from our dedicated staff coming in on their days off to assist in the homes, our community members donating needed supply, and supporters who continue to give generously.

So many of you have reached out to ask how else you can help, and in response, we have created the COVID-19 Response Fund.  Donations made to this fund will help with the changing needs that arise as result of this pandemic.

We would not be able to continue to carry out our mission without the amazing and dedicated staff who continue to step forward to lead during this crisis. Please consider making a gift to the COVID-19 Response Fund. Your gift, no matter what size, will help us continue to meet our mission now and into the future.

Ways to Donate to the COVID-19 Response Fund

*With the recent passage of the federal stimulus package, cash contributions of $300 made to a nonprofit charity such as ACLD, can be claimed by taxpayers taking the standard deduction on their 2020 tax return.
