2017 YEAR END APPEAL
“Thank you for the opportunity to work.”
Samantha Sheehy tried in vain for years to secure employment in the community to no avail. She found that often employers could not look past her limitations and see the eager, bright young lady ready to join the workforce. That is, until she was hired by ACLD’s RewearAble program to serve as their telemarketer and scheduler. Today, Samantha is thriving in her job, greeting customers with her trademark smile and bubbly personality. She is just part of a dedicated workforce eager to earn a paycheck, work in a job they value and earn independence through that paycheck.
The ACLD Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is the primary source of philanthropic support for ACLD, raising money solely for ACLD support and services. Providing children and adults with autism, learning and other developmental disabilities opportunities to pursue enviable lives, increase independence and foster supportive relationships within the community is the mission of Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities (ACLD).
Helping each person who turns to us for support pursue his or her own definition of an enviable life is what ACLD is all about – but we can’t do it without your help.
By pledging your commitment to our 2017 Year-End Appeal, you will be helping the ACLD Foundation make a difference for people like Samantha. In fact, you’ll be helping more than 3,000 people across a variety of ACLD programs to pursue their own enviable life goals.
The ACLD Foundation offers a range of gift-giving opportunities including cash, appreciated stock, real estate, life insurance, retirement benefits, and bequests.
Please, make a gift to the ACLD Foundation’s Year-End Appeal today. On behalf of all those who turn to us for support, thank you for helping us fulfill the promise of a brighter future for children and adults with special needs.
