Volunteering at ACLD

ACLD’s newly created Volunteer Program matches volunteers, both corporate and individual, with specific interests. From hosting holiday parties for residents in our Residential Program, to helping to refresh the gardens in our Day Program, volunteers perform priceless work in the pursuit of providing an enviable life for the children and adults ACLD supports.

Volunteers from Leviton Manufacturing, Comcast Cares, Margolin Winer & Evens, LLP, Home Depot and PSEG have performed corporate projects on our Bethpage campus and residential program. To learn more about how their work made a difference, please click here.

Requirements for Volunteers:

• Volunteers are welcome year round!
• Individual Volunteers must be 18 years old and provide own transportation to volunteer location.
• Individual volunteers are subject to a criminal background check and a tuberculosis screening based on assignment.
• Corporate Volunteers can range from groups of five to 50.
