ACLD has a devoted and dedicated workforce of adults with developmental disabilities who are eager to work in the communities they call home. From being integral parts of the workforce of such companies as Target, Home Depot, Stop & Shop, and Summit Manufacturing, to gaining vocational skills through ACLD’s Cleaning Crew and various other opportunities, we have employees who are ready to work for your company!

Supported Employment

As one of the largest supported employment providers in New York State, we have successfully placed over 500 employees at 100 different companies over the past 10 years. We work with highly motivated and qualified candidates, matching them with an appropriate job opportunity. Our Job Coaches support people throughout their employment with on-site training and job advancement.

Employment Recognition Breakfast

Our annual Employment Recognition Breakfast recognizes exemplary companies who are leading the way by competitively employing people with disabilities in the workplace. Awards are given in the following categories: Advocate of the Year, Employer of the Year and Business Leadership. Past honorees have included Omnicare, Bed, Bath & Beyond and Greenfield’s Shoprite.

Employees with disabilities are recognized each year at the Breakfast for their dedication and commitment to the workforce and their employers. Awards are given annually for Vocational Achievement and Longevity.
