EARTH DAY CLOTHING DRIVE COLLECTS OVER 1,000 POUNDS OF CLOTHING & TEXTILES FOR REWEARABLE BY ACLD June 26, 2025

Jovia Financial Credit Union spent this past Earth Day making a difference by teaming up with RewearAble, an initiative by ACLD, hosting a clothing drive. RewearAble, created by Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc. (ACLD), is a clothing recycling business committed to helping people with developmental disabilities pursue enviable lives through sustainable employment.

“ACLD is excited to partner with Jovia on Earth Day and make a real impact with RewearAble,” said Aimee Keegan, ACLD’s Chief Development and Marketing Officer. Jovia’s clothing drive was open to their employees, as well as to the greater community. “Together, team members from across the organization have cleaned out their closets for a great cause,” said Rich Tavarez, Community Development Officer for Jovia. In total, the clothing drive collected over 1,000 pounds for RewearAble.

RewearAble has an integrated workforce which, from scheduling pickups to sorting and baling clothing, ensures workers are building job skills in a work environment. For more information about RewearAble, visit: www.acld.org/RewearAble
