Disability Pride Month- July 2025

Disability Pride Month is an annual observance in July that celebrates people with disabilities, commemorates the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and promotes disability inclusion, culture and visibility.

During the month of July, we encourage all to come together to recognize the history, achievements, experiences and ongoing struggle of people with disabilities. Disability Pride Month is a powerful reminder to champion inclusion, celebrate diversity and ensure that people with autism, learning and developmental disabilities are accepted fully and unconditionally- just as they are.

Option 1:

This July, I’m proud to celebrate Disability Pride Month—a time to honor the history, achievements and identities of people with disabilities. More than 70 million adults in the U.S. live with a disability, yet this month is still unknown to many. Let’s change that.

Disability Pride is about inclusion, visibility and acceptance—seeing disability not as something to be fixed, but something to be valued.

Join me in recognizing the dignity, diversity and strength of people with autism, learning and developmental disabilities. #WeAreACLD #FacesofACLD #DisabilityPrideMonth #InclusionMatters #ACLD @acldli

Option 2:

July is Disability Pride Month, a time to celebrate the strength, resilience and contributions of people with disabilities—and to recommit to building a more inclusive world.

Disability is a natural part of the human experience. Pride means embracing disability as identity, not limitation. At @acldli, we stand for equity, respect and opportunity for people with autism, learning and developmental disabilities—this month and every month.

Let’s amplify voices, challenge bias and lead with empathy.
