Joseph Saladino
Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor

Supervisor Joseph Saladino served as a New York State Assemblyman for 13 years, prior to his recent position as Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor.

A strong advocate for the environment, Supervisor Saladino has steered the fight to provide clean and safe drinking water which led to the passage of milestone legislation. While a member of the Ways and Means Committee, he sought to eliminate fraud and abuse in the budget system by overseeing how state money is spent. His key issues of concern were to protect children from predators, curb the opioid addiction epidemic, increase services for the mentally ill, promote a better economy, protect small businesses, job growth, curb college tuition costs, and institute longer prison sentences for violent offenders.

Supervisor Saladino has been a friend to ACLD through his tenure as Assemblyman, attending the ribbon cutting ceremony of the Alan and Ellen Spiegel Children’s Center and embracing ACLD’s mission of creating enviable lives for people with autism, learning and developmental disabilities. He has also lent his support to the Job Expo ACLD, FREE, Life’s Worc and YAI co-host each year for supported employment opportunities in the community.

Supervisor Saladino attended Tulane University where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree and holds a Master’s Degree from the New York Institute of Technology, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He is a lifelong community volunteer, a 30 year member and past Kiwanis Club President and recipient of the distinguished “Kiwanian of the Year” award.
